The Olympic Park is getting there!

It really is not that long until the Olympics comes to London. Seeing the latest photos that have been released of the park at Stratford has got me rather excited! It is so nice to see development around London and I really hope that we can keep something from it once the olympics are over. I know that there are pessimists out there that think that it will all go belly up and that we will be left with a white elephant but all I can say is that the O2 arena was a white elephant and look at how amazing that is now! (I am so amazed by the O2 arena that I will have to do a separate blog on that too!) anyway to the olympic park. You can see the finishing touches are being made to the stadium and what looks like the TV screens are going in. What intrigues me is the paths that surround the stadium and I wonder what colour they will end up as every promo picture seems to show different colours! Other things of interest are the Orbit. The tower is now full hight and the viewing platforms are going in (I swear there is going to be a restaurant up there too or I may be making that up) anyway, take a look and marvel at the site! its going to be fast pace from here on so we can expect the finishing touches from the trees to the wrap and everything between to be coming very soon!

The Ghastly BT Tower Sheds It's Skin

Over the past couple of weeks I have noticed news story after story about the BT tower. Recently the tower has gone under a slight image change with the removal of all the dishes that once gave this tower its striking characteristics. The dishes were removed for heath and safety reasons as they had been deteriorating for a rather long time. What surprises me with this tower is that it is grade listed. Whilst I have come to accept the tower and understand its need to be there, its needs for residence are becoming lesser with newer technologies in communication. If BT decide to abandon this building, the sad though is that it will still have to stand there year after year looking rather ugly. I have a great acceptance of architecture and love reading about and visiting many places around the city but the one building that I will never come to love is this ghastly tower. Now that the dishes have been removed, there are talks as to what to do with this rather large space that has been freed up. To be completely honest, anything will be better than its current state but some of the suggestions have been to fill it with advertising or even decorate it with lights. The latter sounds better to me but the problem that I think should be prioritised first is the overall look of the tower during daylight. For a company that seems to scam so much money out of the public and certainly gave me some hellish years, you think they would have enough money to spruce up their building and give some new life to the skyline in this area. Whilst you will very rarely hear me talk badly about London and its architecture, the best thing to happen to this tower would be for it to fall down and take the company with it. Merry Christmas :)

Sabrina And Her Magic Pussy

I was randomly thinking about what to write about today and then remembered that I had come across one of the funniest videos I have seen in a while. (I showed my friend the video and she did not laugh at all so maybe it is just for me) The video was a reunion of Sabrina the Teenage Witch with her one and only loveable pussy Salem! It got me thinking about how some of these programs have defined our childhood and I have to admit that Sabrina the teenage with was one of those many programs that defined mine. Oh we were rather random children! well maybe I can only speak for myself. It is funny looking back at it now because whilst I would contemplate buying the box set to watch the whole series over again, I know it would be awful. I watched one episode on youtube the other day and I did not find it funny at all, yet I kept on watching and it just took me back to my childhood.I love the stupid aunt! I think she was the main reason why I watched it. Whilst creating a little bit of sad magic myself, I decided to look up some information myself and was shocked to find that the program ran for seven seasons! Yes thats seven seasons! I mean did we actually watch them all!? I swear I have probably only watched two (then he buys the boxset and realises that he has watched every episode!) I also discovered what Nick Bakay, the guy that speaks for Salem actually looks like a pedophile and all I can say is his voice is far better looking than his face (oh that is awful! I am sure he is a lovely guy!) its just good that he wasn't on the show because he may have scared the kids! The only other thing that I learnt from this, what can only be described as fascinating adventure of knowledge is that even though I love Melissa Joan Hart, I have never actually seen her in anything other than Sabrina. So to top off this great blog that I am sure you are  just willing to go on for longer, I am going to share the link to what I think is the funniest video I have seen in a while (minus mine of course!) The whole cup and pussy incident just makes me crack up again and again. What programs did you share your childhood with and can any of them beat the teenage witch!? I will leave that one to you,

The X Factor Finale: Little Mix To Win

So I have not really been following the Xfactor this year after the disappointment of the judges and (I don’t mean to sound nasty) the lack of talent that this year has had to offer. In true Xfactor style, you hear about the show even if you don’t have a TV or internet connection so it was only a matter of time after each program finishes that I would hear about it. I will admit to you that I watched the first part of the finale last night and I was impressed... by the arena, not by the people singing on it. Even if I hate to admit it, the show is huge. Even a death and blind person would be able to tell you that. I am surprised that it has taken the show this long to move (even for the finale) to a bigger venue. The impact is so much greater ad I think it makes for such a good viewing experience. There has only been one thing about the show this year that I have loved to hear about and that is the group Little Mix. Every time I hear about them it makes me want to see who they are and what they have been doing and so I listened to them sing and was really impressed. Watching the finale last night, they were the only ones out if the three that stood out and that I enjoyed listening to. Amelia Lily chose the worst song to perform! if you are going to choose a Christina Aguilera song then you have to be prepared to sing all the high and long notes. Lily did not sing any but chose to cut them all out. I am glad that she was voted out and should have stayed out from the beginning. Marcus Collins had by far the best stage set up but again disappointed with his song choice. He did not make it his own nor did he reach the standards of the original. If it is the finale then I think the singers should be belting out some impressive songs to show that they are the top of the crop and apart from Little Mix,I don’t think they did. I will not stick up for Little Mix as I think that they only topped their best performance when it was time for them to sing with Tulisa. I loved it!! They deserve to win all the way. My final opinions are that I think the Xfactor should be in a bigger venue next year for the whole time (or at the very least give the studio a complete makeover because it is getting so boring!) They need to keep Tulisa and ditch all the other judges (I do like Kelly but she just did not click!) and finally (you will hate this one) they need to get a new Dermot! I just dont think that he has a full personality and we need someone more dramatic and entertaining to fill the role!

Concrete Block Thrown Off A Bridge That Hits A Car

Whilst I do like to keep things lighthearted, there was a news article that I read recently that I just had to talk about. It is one of those situations that I could never imagine myself in and that I hope I never ever have to experience. The article was about two cars that had large chunks of concrete thrown at them from a bridge. The people in the first car managed to get away unhurt, yet I can imagine rather psychologically damaged as I would be if something was thrown at me as I was driving. The second car was even more serious and what looks like a bucket of solid concrete smashed the whole front of the car and hit and seriously injured those in the car too. Now when I read this article it got me so angry. I can imagine some little chavy kids thinking it would be fun to throw something at passing cars and as the game went on, the items got bigger and bigger until what happened did. I can not honestly believe that someone or some people could actually think it would be entertaining, funny or amusing to do something like that to someone. What did they think was going to happen? They couldn’t have thought to themselves “lets go and kill someone tonight” I really hope, without proper words to describe it, that these people or person is sitting at home, shitting themselves. I hope that they get found out and that they pay an extreme price for the stupid (not even childish thing because I cant not believe that a child would be so stupid to do something like this) thing that they have done. It really frustrates me when I hear / read stores like this because I just can not fathom what is going through their minds. Why would you want to go out and destroy a random person’s life as well as destroying your own. You would like to believe that every person can have even the smallest amount of self control but by these actions you can tell that some people have nothing. They need to rot in prison because they have no hope at all.

I hope that this lady makes a full recovery and that the evil people that did this get caught
the damage done to the car and the massive concrete block itself

Winter: I hate it!

Everything seems so sudden with the weather recently. We had amazing weather that turned bad, only to turn great again and then in the click of a finger, we skipped from Summer to Winter. Whist we can all admit that it could be far colder, it is only a matter of time before the big chill hits us and I am really not looking forward to it. Firstly you must be wondering why I am talking about weather, well I am British and this is something we do rather well. Secondly it is because the weather affects us so much. I think snow looks beautiful but when you are living in a fast paced city, it looks ugly and destroys everything. You dress up warm but have to take it off when you get n the underground. You have to have multiple shoes with you because you cant walk down a road in the usual smart shoes because you would get hit by an out of control, swirling double decker bus. Transport screws over and then everyone is late for work, you have no space to put all these extra items of clothing and the list just goes on and on! I have to say that I think we have had a great year for weather and everyone knows that with the great weather will come some extreme bad weather too... Its just WHEN! with the snow and coldness comes the bad news stories of people freezing to death, heating bills going through the roof and the country slowly starting to shut down. I hope that after long learning we can all look back at this blog and say “ahh we coped really well last Winter” even though saying this, I don’t even have a coat! the recession has hit me so hard that I need Burberry to sponsor me for Winter! (please!) so I can get a coat! Whilst a part of me would love to have a week of Winter (it makes you realise how much we love Summer) I hope it is just that, a week of Winter. I look forward to next year when  we can head back into the warmer figures and we can put all those pretty little pictures into our albums, along with our coats (not for me) scarfs and gloves!

Irrepressibles, In The Shirt

I have not written a blog about music in rather a long time. This is not because I have not been enjoying music recently, just that there has not been music out there that has really taken my breath away. I know when music has had an impact on me because I just cant stop thinking about it. Sometimes it is music that you know you are going to like and it is catchy and the other times it is because of what is written, the emotion that comes out of the song or just the impact that the music has had on your life. I have had my iTunes Dj (for any of you that do not know... that means random!) on all day today and it has been bringing up some blasts from the past. As soon as one of the songs started to play, I knew that I had to write about it. This song is not well known, I have never heard it play on the radio or on TV but I passed it on Facebook. Someone recommended that I listened to the track and when I did I was left there, in complete silence after just thinking about the song. The song is called “In the shirt” by the Irrepressibles and there is a sample, along with both of the videos (the original and one amazing re-make) I do not honestly know what I feel when I listen to the song but it makes me stop and think. In my mind it is very emotional and stands for an array of things but I recommend that you listen to it all the way through and see what you make of it. I have tried listening to the Irrepressibles album and really do want to like it but it just does not float my boat. I want to like it but it is a tiny bit creepy for me and I can imagine myself getting rather disturbed if I listen to it at night (if at any point someone from the Irrepressibles reads this, I am so sorry!) Anyway listen to it and let me know what you think, watch both videos too,

This is the re-make version, my favorite version (not because of the naked men) of the song, I like the meaning that is expressed through it and I think it is extremely creative

This, to my knowledge is the main official version of the song from the forgotten circus

Woman suspended naked outside a hotel!

Trust it to be a British woman! I was reading an article that I had to comment on because, how could I not!? A woman was left dangling naked from her hotel balcony after her sexual act went wrong. The woman, 49 had to be rescued by firefighters in Spain after she fell off the balcony but luckily got her foot caught on something to stop the fall. The article explains that if she had not got her foot caught then she would have hit a marble floor below. To be completely honest, I don’t know what one I would prefer!? being suspended naked outside my hotel for a while or to just hit the floor (being told that she wouldn’t have died) be knocked out and just hear about the rather random story. What were these people doing having sex on a balcony anyway? You have to laugh but it could have been serious. I bet the only edge she will be having sex next to now is the edge of her bed! It always amuses me that some people get stuck in rather strange situations (and that it makes our news!) firstly I recommend that if you want to have sex next to a balcony (probably having her leg on the edge to get a better position!) on the side of a cliff or a swing then I recommend that you tie both of your legs up and attach some clothes to the line also! Saying this though, I have always wanted to see a naked 49 year old woman suspended, naked in mid air so I take that suggestion back!

Reality TV: Has it lost its Xfactor?

I watch Sky New quite a bit and every time they do a newspaper review, there is always one crappy newspaper that has an article on the X Factor. It got me thinking “are people even watching it anymore” The simple answer to this is yes. People may still be tuning in to watch the show but I don’t think they are like they use to. There was once a time where everyone would talk about the show and you would even be sitting on the tube and would hear the people around you talking about something or other Xfactor-esk. Now, there is really not that much. I think that the Xfactor hype has died down and I personally want ITV to move onto something different. Maybe this is not true and people do still talk manically about the show, just luckily I am not around to hear them. I think what has killed the buzz is the choice of contestants and partly the judges too. When the show first started this year, I wrote a blog about the judges and how it seemed like a rather good lineup. I take this back. The judges were a blow of the hammer that knocked the show down a peg. Gary Barlow is just so boring, bland and crap at being a judge. People just seem to be able to predict to easily what he is going to say and it makes it so boring. He is so repetitive and when he talks it just makes me want to mute the show. Kelly Rowland started out so promising but, maybe it is just me but it looks like her enthusiasm has run out quicker than a battery in sex shop dildo. I do not think that she will be there next year as she will want to do something better. Tulisa is probably my favorite one at the moment (I say at the moment but I stopped watching the program a while ago) I don’t know why she is a favorite, she just is. Then, you have Louis... Louis Walsh that should have left the show about 80 years ago! It is made worse by the fact that there aren’t really any great performers either. Some of them are good but its just disappointing because compared to other years I don’t think that anyone there will be a big star or deserves to have that crown. I know I sound awful and so bitchy and I do not mean it in a nasty way as this show is some of these people’s dreams. Then suddenly people are getting thrown out of the show, judges are arguing, being ill, complaining and contestants are turning against each other. To me it feels like it is a desperate attempt to get people talking about the show again but I am not too sure how effective these attempts are. There is no doubt that the show will be on for the next few years at least and that team Cowell will do all in their power to keep this ship afloat as long as possible. Reality TV is here to stay but there is something in the air that says these programs need to develop, change, move on, reinvent themselves because it gets boring watching exactly the same thing year after year with little change. You will either agree with me on this subject or probably slate me to Hell but this is what I think is happening. (now that I have said this the show will hit record audiences and be extended for the next thirty years!) anyway, whether you are an Xfactor fan or not... does reality TV have to change to survive?

The New Nokia Lumia

I keep on seeing articles on the new Nokia Lumia phone and I wanted to add my two pence in. I do not know why but there is something about this phone that I just really like. I do not plan to buy one as I am a hardcore Apple fan and I would only leave them if they shut down but if I was to change phones then I would say that this phone for some reason has to be the most appealing. I am not usually a fan of Nokia phones but recently I know that Microsoft and Nokia have joined forces to try and jump into the phone market (and make bigger splashes than they currently are) I decided to do some research into the phone and I have to say that I was rather impressed. The phone itself looks very “lego chic” I love the look personally but I know that there will be many people out there that will compare it to a child’s toy. Currently the phone comes in black (so boring) pink (rather snazzy) and blue (yes please!) The frame seems very small which makes a change to most of the bulky phones that are out at the moment. The one thing that really strikes me with this phone is the menu (or operating system) itself. The system is designed to look and match the phone and it does this very well. I love the fact that it has “people” rather than “contacts” as this changes the contact pages into mini profiles of the people you know, adding Facebook, twitter, email, number, birthdays and anything else that you could possibly think of and stores it in one place. The phone in general seems very organised and simple to use. It has a “bigger than the screen” feel to it and its like using the phone as some sort of peep hole as the information slides from side to side. I am not a windows fan at all but I would have to say that Windows seems to have done rather well this time. The Lumia stands out on its own at the moment as it has a very different look and fee to the Apple and Android phones that are currently taking over the world.

This will either be great for Nokia or it will be bad. It will either attract people over and the phone will be a great success or it will scare people as they may feel like there may not be many things to do with the phone as Apple and Android will clearly have many more apps at the moment. All in all I have to say that this is a rather sexy phone and I am rather impressed. I did not think that I would say this but I hope it does well and that Windows has better luck at fixing itself into the phone market with its operating system. With three major players in the OS market it should do it some good and push up the competition to creating that “dream” phone that everyone wants.

TOWIE Renewed For Four More Seasons

As you may have read from previous blogs, I have only just started to get into The Only Way Is Essex. I finished watching season 3 and had to get the DVD of 1 & 2 to catch up and I can now officially say that I am TOWIE to the full. I was reading an article which made me very happy indeed and that is because it has been confirmed that the show has now been renewed for at least four more seasons! The show has been getting viewer figures in their millions which means that the only way really is up for the show. Whilst some people have had a negative reaction to this, stating that the show is getting boring and that they hate the new characters, I have to say that I think the “regular” changes and fresh faces is the thing that is keeping the show going. Could you imagine the show in season one being exactly the same for the past three seasons!? I would have never gotten into it! So with fresh faces and new places I hope that the next season will also be a hit. Each of the next seasons should air over 2012, being 10 episodes each. The months it should start are January, April and October (but this may change) It is also a good think that Mark has decided to leave because now it will lessen the focus over the Wright family which I think were getting boring over the three seasons. I hope the news is good for you and I will keep you updated if I hear anything else.

The Walkway in the Sky

I saw this article on the internet and I just had to share it. This is a new walk way that has opened up on the side of a mountain in china. The walk way is set 4,700ft up the side of the mountain and as you can see by the photos, you can see all the way down. I have never experienced anything of this height, only a walk way that was about 5 floors above ground (pathetic!) I would love to go on this! I would also love to get the experience of when you are in a really tall building and you have the glass that lets you look all the way down the side  of the building (so cool like yar) the only thing that freaks me out with this is that I could imagine walking on the walk way and it just falls off the side of the mountain! I would rather fall with it than being left on that tiny concrete edge though (lol) anyway this defiantly has the cool factor!

Above: from this view it really does not look that bad. Below: then you see this and you can tell that it is not for the faint hearted!

Lets just hope the warning sign doesn't say "dont look"

What is shocking is that the glass barrier really is not that high!

Happy viewing! signing out, Thatmfeeling

The Only Way Is Essex: Reviewed!

I can remember when The Only Way Is Essex first come to our TV screens and I remember thinking “what a load of shit” I didn’t even want to watch it because I thought it would be a load of slutty girls talking about guys and then that was the episode over. I do not really know how I come to watch the program but I started first episode of season 3. I think it may have been all this talk about Mario and the two twins and I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. After watching the first episode I could honestly say that I was hooked. What I love about it is that its so care free, so fun and they do not take themselves seriously. I take back my first opinion of the show and want to say that I am so glad that I watched it. I do not want my life to be like theirs but I do admire them for being in the program and showing people that the only way is to have fun and just enjoy your life. I know that half of the program is set up but I would love to have a group of friends like that. They are close, there are so many dramas going on and it would be so exhausting yet fun.  To any of you that have not seen it, I strongly recommend that you do. Its an either love or hate relationship with the show but after me being someone that judged it so much, I have fallen in love with it. I have now bought it on DVD so I am going to start watching it from the very beginning. Oh its going to be reem!

Thatmfeeling on Mark Wright:
I want to hate the guy! I hate people that are so far up their own arses that they could tan themselves in their own shit. I don’t understand though but there is something about him that I really like. He has a great style (he knows this) he looks great too (he also knows this) and he does have a dirty charm in the way he talks (again he knows this) I want to hate him but I just cant!

Thatmfeeling on James Argent:
This guy cracks me up. He is the complete opposite of Mark and he has no charisma skills. He gets himself into trouble and does not think about what he is going to say before he says it. I really like Arg, he is kind, fun, funny and just a great big huge teddy bear.

Thatmfeeling on Kirk Norcross:
yummy! I don’t know why I like him but I just do! he has some sort of vulnerability to him and I think it gives him such an attractive quality. He is fun, I think he has his head in the right place and I would mist defiantly love him as a friend.

Thatmfeeling on Harry Derbidge:
Harry is one of the main reasons that I did not want to watch the show when it first come out. I hate gays like that and I hate the fact that he wears more makeup than all the girls put together. I have to say though that as the seasons have gone on, I really have started to like him. He is not my cup of tea but I think he has grown and become funnier and better in the seasons. He would be someone that i would go out clubbing with but that is as far as it goes. Some of the best lines come from him!

Thatmfeeling on Sam Faiers:
OMG I just love this girl! She is cute, fun and just amazing. I thin with Sam you just cant help but like her. I love watching her, listening to her and think that she has to be one of the best people in the series. She is the queen of reem!

Thatmfeeling on Joey Essex:
I do not even need to comment. Joey is the most amazing thing ever. He makes me laugh so much and I think the program is all the better for him being in it. It is a shame that he is not in the first season because it would have rocketed even further to the top! Classic and amazing! Love him

Thatmfeeling on Chloe Sims:
I didn’t like Chloe the first time I saw her but she is so funny. Chloe is the female version of Joey and the things that she comes up with related to politics and news crack me up. I want to hug her and tell her that she is so sweet.

Thatmfeeling on Gemma Collins:
Gemma annoys me one second and then I am laughing along with her the next. I wish she would stop talking about love like it is some sort of fairytale world. She has a great sense of humor but all she talks about is love, sex and being with Arg. Sometimes I wonder if she has ever had a conversation about anything else? bad editing or is she always like that?

Thatmfeeling on Lauren Goodger:
I hate her. I am sorry but she does my head in and if there was a group of friends with her in it I would just have to avoid them. She comes across as so needy, bitchy, greedy and anything else negative that I could say about her. I hope it is not really her but I would be so ashamed to watch myself back and see that I act like her.

Thatmfeeling on Jessica Wright:
I honestly have nothing to say about her.

Thatmfeeling on Lydia Rose Bright:
oh yay she is amazing! I know she can have her tantrums but I do love her. She can be grown up and silly at the same time and I do love watching her reactions to everything!

Thatmfeeling on Amy Childs:
how can you not like her. She is sexy, stupid and just so funny. I want her to come back!
What do you think of the show and the people in it?

The Shard's Bigger Brother

As I am sure you are all aware, I have an obsession with the architecture and an even bigger obsession with the Shard, London Bridge. As I was getting my daily dose of architecture, I noticed a building that I almost mistook for the Shard building itself! The Lotte Jamsil Super tower as it is titled is the Shard’s bigger brother and I mean bigger! When the Shard stands at 305.7m, this monster stands at 555.7m making it a Shard that has gone through puberty and more. Whilst I can’t help but love this building, I think it looks too similar to the one and only. I guess in defense of the Lotte Jamsil, any building that now has the shape of a really stretched out pyramid, could be classed as a copy of the Shard but even down to the layers with more glass underneath and the top of the tower splitting into separate pieces just seems a little to copy cat for my liking. If you cover up the bottom of the tower with your hand (or a sheet of paper if you dont want to put finger prints on your screen!) you can see the similarities and I wish that these two landmarks could be slightly different to each other. Both buildings are very clearly buildings of detail and quality as you can see by the interior impressions and the aims of these two buildings. Whilst London is set to get two more Shardettes in the not so distant future, it looks like we will have to settle with a fourth member of the family the other side of the world too. I will keep you posted with the details of all four buildings as they come to light.

Should The Clocks Go Back

It seems to be in the news every year, yet every year nothing is ever done about it. The question on everyone’s tongue seems to be “should we put the clocks back for winter?” in my personal opinion, I think that we shouldn’t. I think that with a lighter evening, there will be more time to do things outside, it will help tourism and genuinely make make many people feel better. I find it so depressing when you finish work all the time in winter and it is already dark before you get home. I know that some people will disagree and say that when you get ready in the morning that if it is dark this can also be depressing but I just feel that when you wind down after work (and the majority of people finish around 5ish) then it is nice to see a little bit of a day rather than finish work and get straight into night. There are also more benefits like people getting home safely because of the lighter hours and people being able to do more with their days. The problem that the UK now faces with the clock changes is Scotland. I understand the reasons as to why Scotland would not want to change this because their light of day is slightly different to the majority of the UK. I hope however that the government and politicians of all sides look into what will benefit the whole of the UK rather than if it has some more negative impact on one part of the country specifically. If it has more positives than negatives for the majority then I really do hope that we will stop putting our clock back for winter and we become GMT + 1 and get more from our days. This subject will be a complete mixed bag of jellies and I know that some people really disagree with it so if you want to share your thoughts then leave a message below.

Remember to put your clock back tonight if you are in the UK!

Wicked The Musical: Review

As you sit down in the theatre, you get an idea as to the detail that is going to be in this show by all the surrounding staging that is not hidden by the main screen. I love it, all the old wood, vines and steps, set back into the sides keeps you busy for ages whilst you are waiting for the show to start. Across the theatre is old style mine lighting, suspended across by its wires. It really gets you into the show and I think also reminds you that this is not the usual wizard of oz story. I found that we had to wait a while for the show to start and it started a couple of minutes late but this was probably a good thing as some stupid people still did not manage to find their seats in time. This time round, I was on the upper tier but we had very good seats. The screen lifted and the performers came out. I really love the lighting with this production, it changes so often and they seem to use very rich colours which make the performance feel very captivating. I will not give too much away as I do not want to spoil the show for the people that have not seen it but the only thing that I want to criticize with the scenery is that there are two very tall column divider things that have moving cog wheels on them, the cogs spin when these parts of the scenery move. They appear so often and I kept on thinking to myself “what are they!?” “why are they in a classroom, in a forest and basically everywhere in Oz?” The scenery was so beautiful and then you get these column things move in and I just cant fathom as to why they had to be used so much in the production? Could they not have replaced them with trees in the forest and bookshelves in the classroom? I don’t know, maybe there is a reason that they are there. Apart from that criticism of the scenery, I have to say that the acting and singing was amazing. Rachel Tucker that plays Elphaba, sings in such an amazing way, her acting is perfect and I just wanted her to take her costume off so you could see the beautiful lady underneath it (I think this shows that she did a very good job!) If Elphaba was such a great character then you know that Glinda, played by Louise Dearman just stole the show! Glinda was funny, sexy, underestimated and of course... blonde! The one thing that I would comment on is that Dearman does not speak very clearly and some of the time it was impossible to hear what she was saying. Whilst I am sure that all of her joes were funny, because you could not her her all the time it was hard to understand some of them. The rest of the time, she was 100% amazing and really made you love this character all the way. Dearman acted how I imagine Glinda to be and had the character nailed down to a T in my eyes. Whilst Dearman had the character, Tucker had the voice and I think that we should not forget Tucker because of this. Whilst the two leading ladies really made the show, there are two guys that have to be mentioned. Mark Evans who played Fiyero is just amazing. He did not have to speak, he could have just stood in the middle of the stage, silent for three hours and I am sure that it would have impressed most of the people in the theatre! He has the looks of a hunk and the acting and singing voice of a dedicated actor. I know that most people will love him because he is a complete charmer but I have to say that he does his job incredibly well. Maybe they should create a production just based around Fiyero! The other little one that has to be mentioned is Ben Stott who played the munchkin, Bok. Whilst Stott is not really small and does not look like a munchkin, he plays his character very well. (I do wish however that he was smaller to match the character!) You really feel for him and nothing goes his way (this is why I think that me and him should fall in love and live happily ever after) It is a huge production so it is understandable that everyone in the production is going to be good. You can tell that it has had money pumped into it from every angle and I think people that watch it from all ages, knowing about the Wizard of Oz or not, you will enjoy it. As I stated in my previous blog, I found it very inspiring and I know that I will go and see it again in a year or two. By that time, me and Boq will be madly in love and they will have to change the storyline!  The show is rather expensive but if the money is putting you off, I want to reassure you that it is money well spent and that you will have a phenomenal evening. Victoria Apollo theatre is rather large and one this that I love about this theatre is that nearly all of the seats have views. If you are worried about being too far back then I recommend that you sit on the upper tier. The upper tier has a better slope than where the stalls are so I think that you can get a better view (unless you are near the front where I was the first time round and then you will have the best seats in the house!) The closer you are to the speakers however, the bigger your headache. As a warning, when the Wizard of Oz speaks, you will want to put your hands over your ears. Apart from that have an amazing time and dribble over all the talent that this production has to offer!

Wicked: a hit musical in so many ways!

I have already seen this amazing musical before but yesterday I went to see Wicked once again! I cant get over how amazing this musical is. Ever since I was little, I have always loved the wizard of Oz and have watched it many times. Wicked has obliterated this love and has made me fall for this back story that focuses on the witches of oz. The story just works so well! I find it hard to watch the musical without looking around the theatre and seeing all the work that goes on behind the scenes and around us to show this amazing production. The lighting, the music, the dancers, the scenery, i just think it is amazing. Every time I leave the theatre, I feel so inspired! looking at these amazing actors and dancers and seeing where they have managed to get in life, performing for some of the most amazing productions ever! I want to climb onto the stage and dance around with them! I love the process that goes hand in hand with these things and it makes me so desperately want to be part of something where I can present or be on stage. I know the likeliness is that I will never do it but what comforts me to know is that it pushes me harder in life to be something, to do the things that I want to do and just live! I know that that is so much to get from one theatre production but this is what I love so much about London, there is so much going on, so much inspiration around and just so much choice! I cant get enough! I will be going to bed with a smile on my face (I may need some botox!)

have a great night, if you have not seen Wicked then 110% go to see it because it will be worth every penny!
